The Comparative Civilizations Review is the flagship journal of the Comparative Civilizations Forum℠ and one of the world’s leading publications devoted to the comparative study of civilizations.
Founded alongside the ISCSC and published continuously since 1974, the CCR provides a platform for original research, theoretical reflection, and cross-cultural dialogue among scholars from diverse disciplines.
Each issue explores how civilizations develop, interact, and transform offering insights that connect history, philosophy, sociology, politics, and culture.
Widely read and cited across global universities, the CCR embodies the Forum’s mission to advance civilizational understanding as both a scholarly pursuit and a guide to the human future.

The Comparative Civilizations Review welcomes original research, essays, and book reviews that advance the comparative study of civilizations in theory or practice.
