Our Initiatives

Civilizational Research & Dialogue Initiative
We support research that deepens understanding of how civilizations develop, interact, and transform. Through dialogue across disciplines, the CCF connects scholars and thinkers who seek a holistic understanding of civilizations and long-term cultural change.
This includes:
-
Interdisciplinary research exchanges
-
Collaborative projects and thematic clusters
-
Opportunities to share work at conferences and webinars
-
A welcoming environment for emerging scholars
AI & Civilizations
The AI & Civilizations Working Group explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping the evolution, interaction, and understanding of civilizations.
Bridging technology and the humanities, the WG examines both the opportunities and risks that AI brings to cultural identity, governance, creativity, and ethics.
Its goal is to foster a civilizational dialogue on the human future, ensuring that technological progress is guided by wisdom drawn from the world’s diverse civilizational traditions.

Research Clusters
The CCF Research Clusters bring together members who explore specific themes within the comparative study of civilizations.
Each cluster serves as a collaborative hub for interdisciplinary inquiry, connecting scholars across regions and fields to investigate topics such as cultural evolution, civilizational resilience, ethics, technology, and global governance.
Through these clusters, the Forum promotes focused research, joint publications, and intellectual exchange that deepen our collective understanding of how civilizations develop, interact, and transform over time.
Global Learning & Public Education Initiative
Our public learning programs bring civilizational insights to broader audiences through webinars, lectures, book discussions, and digital educational content.
This includes:
-
Monthly webinars & talks
-
Annual Book Club series
-
Public conversations
