Vlad Alalykin-Izvekov Ph.D

Board Member, VP for Europe & Eurasia

Dr. Vlad Alalykin-Izvekov serves as the Vice President for Europe and Eurasia of the International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations (ISCSC) and is a Member of the ISCSC Board of Directors. He is also the Senior Editor of Comparative Civilizations Review (CCR), a peer-reviewed scholarly journal.


As a scholar, he has introduced multiple original ideas, concepts, theories, and paradigms across several fundamental fields. His contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Toynbee-Talbutt Award (2011) and the Award for Outstanding Contribution to ISCSC (2012).


Vlad has authored numerous scholarly papers and literary works, including two monographs, published across North America, Europe, and beyond. He is fluent in English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish, with reading proficiency in German, French, Church Slavonic, and Latin.

Beyond his scholarly pursuits, Vlad is actively engaged in intellectual exchanges across disciplines and geographies, always receptive to new collaborations, ideas, and thought-provoking discussions. He welcomes engagement with like-minded thinkers, prominent research institutions, and, perhaps, even a brilliant female scholar who shares his passion for fundamental social studies and lively intellectual exchanges.
